Nick has over 30 years’ experience within the asset finance industry, where he has focused mainly on aircraft finance and the aviation sector, including airports and air traffic control services. Nick has structured and arranged high value transactions using various finance and leasing structures on behalf of airlines, lessors and service providers.
Prior to forming CACL with Centrus, Nick as a founding Partner, formed Aviation Investment Management LLP as an independent aviation asset management company. Whilst at Cantor Fitzgerald Europe as a Managing Director in the Aviation Finance Group Nick had responsibility for origination, structuring and placement of aviation transactions to its investor clients.
Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Nick spent 17 years with Spectrum Capital Limited, a London based specialist aviation advisory and finance arranging firm, where he worked as Vice President, advising airlines and aviation related companies. He also advised on a number of aerospace related PFI/PPP projects with manufacturers, service providers, lenders and the UK DoT & MoD.
Nick’s career in asset finance started at the asset finance and leasing subsidiary of Midland Bank (HSBC Group). He also worked for 6 years at CIBC Wood Gundy (the corporate and Investment banking arm of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) in the cross-border asset based finance division, concentrating on corporate and commercial aircraft finance and leasing. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics and Economic & Social History from the University of East Anglia, Norwich.
