A qualified corporate treasurer, George has more than 15 years of corporate treasury as well as debt and derivatives advisory experience. George joined Centrus from Chatham Financial where he offered financial advisory services to corporate and private equity clients. The corporate treasury experience gained with the Capital Markets team at National Grid, one of the biggest corporate debt issuers in the UK and US as well as with one of the largest diversified shipping groups globally (Angelicoussis Shipping). During his time at Centrus, George has led a variety of complex mandates for Infrastructure clients such as the c.£8.5bn financing and liability management programme in relation to the sale from National Grid of the four UK Gas Distribution assets, a large Inflation swap restructuring project for Thames Water, the c.£2.3bn liability management review for Associated British Ports, the ongoing Inflation swap restructuring programme for Electricity North West.

Hobbies & Interests

As well as being an ace treasurer, this sartorially elegant Athenian is the undoubted style guru of the Centrus office, never failing to impress with his wardrobe combinations. This undoubted sense of taste extends to the world of food and wine where he enjoys fine dining and making Geoff’s eyes water with his wine choices at company dinners. His true career aspiration is to become a sommelier but first he needs to complete his studies in wine tasting! In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball as well as table tennis
