Hobbies & Interests

Fiona has spent the last 5 years living between Ireland and Portugal, where she failed to learn the language but developed a passion for custard tarts. In the past Fiona was an avid traveller and spent 6 months on a round the world trip in 2005. One of her travel highlights was a 2 week trip to Syria over Christmas 2009 before the civil war broke out. (She particularly appreciated the warmth and generosity of the Syrian people’s hospitality but not the local lad stealing a kiss at the top of Aleppo citadel!)

As well as being a one-time [or maybe “lapsed”?] Irish dancer, Fiona enjoys music, in particular supporting her nephew who is a singer songwriter and her sister who is a member of the Dublin Ukelele Collective.

With her background in social enterprise and finance, Fiona has mentored a team of MBA students for the Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investment Challenge in the USA.

Fiona expresses some rather random and intense dislikes of whiskey, coconut and mice.
